OPEXEngine's Q4 2026 benchmark refresh is now live! Customers can log in here to access the latest data.

We update our proprietary benchmark database twice a year, typically in Q2 and Q4. Each refresh incorporates newly collected data from participating software companies, and our analysts validate every input before it enters the database.

This Q4 update builds on the trends we observed earlier in the year, with broader coverage and a more robust sample.

What's Ahead for 2027

Our 2027 benchmarking survey opens in January, and participant feedback shaped three updates:

1. A streamlined survey that's easier to complete and focused on the metrics that matter most today.
2. Expanded coverage of emerging areas, including new questions on AI investment, adoption, and monetization.
3. A redesigned BenchmarkEngine platform that makes it easier for customers to explore, compare, and apply benchmark data on demand.

The new AI questions reflect what we're hearing from software leaders. As AI changes how companies build, sell, and support their products, leaders want to know how their AI investments compare with relevant peers.
